Meet Carly,
Hello! I’m Carly, a proud native of Peru, born in the Amazon Rainforest Basin. With the wisdom passed down from my grandmother, I have learned to harness the magnetic energy of Mother Earth from a young age. After traveling the world and becoming integrated into many cultures, I currently reside in the Bay Area, California.
Our mission at Inti retreat is a sanctuary for time spent in harmony with the five elements of Pachamama (water, air, fire, earth, and the cosmos) to harmonize your body, mind, and spirit with divine light. This is to help you liberate your mind from limiting beliefs that block your prosperity, while re-energizing your spirit and rejuvenating your body.

Review: at Las Cabañas de Lunahuana Lodge – A NYC Escape
As a New Yorker used to the hustle and bustle of city life, I was in desperate need of a peaceful getaway to reconnect with nature. So, when a friend invited me to join her for a weekend at Las Cabañas de Lunahuana Lodge in the Lunahuana Valley, Peru, I jumped at the chance. I’d heard that Lunahuana is famous for its stunning nature and pleasant weather year-round, making it the perfect escape from the cold winter I was enduring back in NYC.
We set off from Lima late in the evening at 8:30 pm, and after a scenic 3-hour drive, we arrived at the lodge around 11 pm. The moment we got out of the car to stretch our legs, I took a deep breath of the crisp, clean air, and it felt like the world had completely slowed down. The sound of the river flowing over the stones was so calming, and when I looked up at the sky, I was in complete awe of the stars. Coming from a city with little visibility of the night sky, this was nothing short of magical. I couldn’t help but exclaim, “OMG!” and share the moment with my friend and Carly, the owner of the lodge, who was with us. We all stood there, in wonder, and embraced this rare and beautiful sight. I thought to myself, “This is definitely a special invitation.”
The lodge itself exceeded all expectations. The bungalows were each uniquely designed, showcasing the care and effort that went into their creation with natural, locally sourced materials. Carly, our gracious host, suggested we have some tea and rest after our journey, as we had an early start the next day.
The following morning, we woke up at 4:50 am for a sunrise meditation at a Pre-Inca archaeological site. A short 15-minute walk from the lodge took us to the site, where we met the “mommy protector” of the area. The energy was palpable, and I spent time embracing the large rocks that resonated deeply with me. I could feel the intensity of the surroundings as I meditated, and it was such a powerful experience. Each of us had our own unique connection to the space—one of the women felt magnetic waves passing over her, another saw a beautiful rainbow, and I gained profound clarity about my life. The whole experience was deeply spiritual and reflective, and I left the site feeling empowered and connected to something much larger than myself.
Afterward, we returned to the lodge to enjoy a hearty breakfast, and I couldn’t wait to share my experience with my friend. The rest of the day was spent exploring the area—walking to the nearby town for lunch and then being invited to bathe in the river down the road from the lodge. Although I had forgotten my bathing suit, I still enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, passing through fields of exotic fruits that seemed to transport me to another world.
This retreat was everything I needed and more. As a woman from New York City, it was refreshing to disconnect from the chaos of urban life and find peace in the tranquility of Lunahuana. I felt incredibly blessed to have had this experience—thanks to my friend’s invitation and the magical energy of the valley. If you’re looking for a transformative women’s retreat that blends nature, spirituality, and relaxation, Las Cabañas de Lunahuana Lodge is the place to be. It’s a rare experience that I’ll cherish for a lifetime.
